Children growing up in Mathare face numerous obstacles to their well-being and development. Many come from households struggling to make ends meet, with parents working informal jobs with unstable incomes. As a result, these children often lack access to nutritious food, healthcare, and quality education. Additionally, the pervasive environment of poverty exposes them to various risks, including exploitation, violence, and substance abuse.
Despite their resilience and potential, underprivileged children in Mathare face significant barriers to realizing their dreams and aspirations. Without adequate support and resources, they risk being trapped in a cycle of poverty and perpetuating it for future generations.
